Got the 2nd reman pump night before last. Installed yesterday evening with reservior hose on, poured in some fluid and rotated pulley until fluid started to sppear from the pressure hose. Connected that and put the car back together. Started with wheels off ground, turning wheel back and forth while car running, all good. Put wheels on ground, turned steering again while running and it groaned like mad + foamy fluid. Turned off, jacked up and worked wheel back and forth, engine off, and let sit at the lock both ways over a few hours to allow bubbles to escape. Checked while running a few more times and it was getting better each time. Let it sit overnight.
Took it for a ride around the block this morning, it works but still a little grabby and groaning when I turn more than 45 degrees. No leaks (yay!) and everything looks correct beyond the groan and the reservior foaming. Not sure if there is another way to bleed (I read it is self bleeding) but if anyone has an idea that would be great. The foam dissipates fairly quick.
