I just installed the same switch in my wife's 97 CSE yesterday. My problem was a periodic loss of SID and and mains voltage (the car would shut off briefly when driving and then would come back alive).I opened the old switch and the contacts looked a little dark on some poles. Scan-Tech was made in China....the original in Germany. I also had an apparent low voltage condition going to the fuel and engine temp gauges. I also found some corrosion on the positive connection junction block next to the battery. We'll see if it fixes the problem. I kept the old switch......just in case.
