If the car has been sitting for a while the tires could be badly flat-spotted, especially if they were low on air. They may "get round" again if you inflate to 35 psi and put some miles on them. Or not. If they don't buy new tires.
But you could easily have a 1 or more bent wheels. A badly bent wheel--where it is bent on the inner edge-- will set up some strong vibrations. If a two or more are bent and they get in sync, it can be really bad. Used 15" alloys range from free to about $60 each.
Ball joints are pretty easy to diagnose, but may not cause much vibration. Easy replacement and parts are about $20. The control arm bushings can do all kinds of things. Not a fun job to get them off: they commonly rust to the control arm and need an air hammer to remove without excessive hammering and cussing. To replace the stock rubber ones, I like the poly bushes because they improve steering response at the cost of a bit more vibration. Grease the end of the control arm before putting the new bushing on.
Motor and tranny mounts won't affect ride much, but can put strain on the shift linkage and other parts. The tranny mount is an easy repair. The engine mounts are harder if you don't have a lift, but there are procedures written up here if you do a search. Upper engine mounts are an easy replacement if you use a poly one on the bracket that mounts to the engine.
I did all this at once on my '96 when the clutch was done at 180K. Made it feel like a new car.
