Had head gasket replaced about 12,000 miles ago 02/13. Had been running a BPC with stuck-open valve for 3-4 years prior to gasket replacement. After HG job replaced BPC with a properly working one, which ran with up until June when switched back to stuck-valve BPC. Two weeks after BPC switch turbo began to smoke and then noticed smoking from tailpipe mostly at morning start-ups - though also after downhill runs. Put "working" BPC valve back on and smoking diminished significantly. Since pulling electrical connection to BPC this week; think smoke's diminished even more. It's been sort of now & then last few days and have put on 200 highway miles plus town driving.
Think what you said is worth checking out. Am do for annual state inspection; so could have Indy Saab expert check out the head gasket and valve stems and anything else he can think of.
Thanks for the tip.
