It's always possible the rebuilt alternator is defective but I'd suspect wiring problems. (As I said, I jumped the gun thinking the replacement alternator was bad in my case when a similar problem reared its head.) How is the ground strap between the engine and the chassis? The cable from alternator to battery? These carry a big load and have to be in good condition. Could your serpentine belt be slipping under load?
You could take the alternator to an auto parts store or auto electrics shop that can bench-test it. I'd think a Bosch rebuild would be OK, but quality has been a race to the bottom in recent years when it comes to rebuilt and aftermarket parts.
