My guess would initially be that the leak is from elsewhere but pooling at that spring point (the brake line connects to the caliper just above the handbrake spring and makes sense it could be dripping down?)....however anything is possible?
if you watch this video of a rear caliper rebuild, the tear-down part will show you all the possible points fluid could get to, and therefore leak from....
it may help get a better sense of where and what and how?
