replace the entire line with a metal tube, preferably NiCopp. The fact that the line developed a pin hole leak does not sit well with me anyway. That nylon is quite brittle after 24 years! New nylon is really a bear to work with, regardless of super heating the water in the microwave, the nylon cools pretty fast once you take it out to bend it. So, I had to resort to this "Sharkbite". I am more worried about new pinholes than this thing leaking fuel. On my other Aero, I used NiCopp to replace the clutch line and it works great. For the flexible section, I substituted the flexible section by coiling the line a few turns (3, I think). Though I have a new original clutch line (I keep in the trunk), I continue to use the NiCopp because it really feels great compared to the stock line. I may fabricate something like this for my fuel system, but it might be difficult to put a banjo fitting on a metallic line...
