Yes, that one looks scary, but if it's the ONLY rusty area and the price is right, I'd consider it. Have you looked at the rear shock mounts, the inner side of the "butt cheeks" behind the rear wheels, the "doglegs" behind the rear doors, etc. I'm sure that the heat from the exhaust exacerbated the rusting process.
Years ago I restored an Alfa Romeo Spider, which is also a unibody car, and found some "frame" rust behind the front wheels as the structural member curves under the passenger compartment - a critical part of the strength of the car. Teh left side also has the fuel lines running through this section. I found a professional welding shop (not an auto body shop) that was willing to take on the job of patching it. I imagine that since all they do is welding, they probably did a better job than a body shop would have done.
