I hate this job. I've done one early on in the 1990 9000T, but that was a looong time ago. I always took my 9000's to my indy for this job because he did it so cheaply it wasn't worth the trouble, swearing and skinned knuckles. Now I'm half a country away and needed to do it myself. This is the second one that I will have changed in this car. I think it lasted 10-ish years. Both are Nissens heater cores with the plastic end tanks. When I pulled this one out I was having trouble getting the blower assembly to clear the evaporator box so I started taking the box apart. I got it split but I don't think it really helped. I didn't disconnect the wiring harness on the driver's side of the aquarium. I was able to wrestle the blower housing out past it but it didn't come out without a fight. Does the evaporator housing need to be messed with to do this job, beyond freeing the whole box up a bit? Does the harness need to be unplugged so the blower assembly can have more room on the driver's side of the aquarium? I know there's an easier way to get that blower out and back in than the way I was doing it.
