If you have the powder or pellets it is recommended that you first dissolve them in water and then pour that into the expansion tank. It's just that the water flow through the tank may take very long to dissolve the bar leaks and you want the effect now. It is best if you can find the liquid kmart, pep-boys, etc.. usually carry it. Just shake very well.
