I recently bought a 95 9000cs with 93k on it. I noticed when I looked at that it had a bit of sweet syrupy smell when I turned on the heat. I realized that this may be the heater core, but didn't think it was a big deal, I figured I'd just throw some "bars-leaks" or "radwell" or whatever in there, and be off on my merry way. However, I wouldn't mind fixing it if it wasn't too costly... but I've heard stories quite the contrary. Does anyone have some input to give on this subject? Any suggestions. I got the car for $7k, it's in great shape, except for that one minor detail. I thought I was getting a good deal, so it didn't affect my decision.
