You've summed it up in a nutshell. No flashing (sorry I said blink in
my original posting), and hence confusion.

You are quite right. It *does* work. I guess I wasn't leaving it long enough. The book suggests 4 mins, maybe that's not quite enough. Or maybe I'm too impatient!
