The aero guy has a lot of usefull information. However, just because the APC valve makes noise, and passes an ohm check does not mean that it's functioning correctly. These valves will stick mechanicly and cause the engine to "overboost" and some bucking due to the control module shuting off the injectors and or fuel pump depending on the model. If the engine is overboosting, the code for adaption will be set. The control module cannot control the amont of boost entering the engine due to the stickey valve. The ECM trys to compensate for this by lowering the adaption level. When it can no longer adapt, the fault code you mentioned will be set. If the TPS is at fault, the check engine lamp will be set also with a code for faulty tps.
When you replace the APC valve, drive the car as aero guy describes (except, don't touch the brake pedal as the turbo will revert to basic charge pressure) in his post so the control module will "learn" the new boost curve (or disconnect the battery to reset to the factory value).
BTW, the TPS is non adjustable, not like Noname describes as adjustable.
