I have a '94 Aero and had problems with my DI cassete. Even with that,
it would still go well within the red on a inconsistant basis. After the
new DI cassete was installed I go into the red almost all the time unless
I am running at a low rpm.
If you have an Aero, you should enjoy the needle in the red! They put
different fuel regulators to help with this enjoyment!
Note: My cruise control stopped working about 2years ago. Most likely
as separate issue, but the advice from the others is good too.
