I have the same set-up you're going to have. My exhaust shop said the same
thing when they saw the daylight through the Magnaflow. When they finished
and started the engine they were amazed - not loud, whatsoever. In fact,
they said that they had used Borla's on a lot of the systems they installed
and thought my set-up sounded nicer. The turbo, itself, does a lot to
attenuate the sound. And whoever designs the Magnaflow, must be a hell of
an acoustical engineer - it sure doesn't look like it wont be loud! Finally, I've noticed no increase in temperature under the hood - in fact,
I could make a strong case for the opposite occuring, even though I haven't
done any quantitative testing. The 3" downpipe allows hot gases to flow through the system at a greater rate. I would guess that the temperature
in the area around the downpipe is directly related to this flow rate.
