Normal oil temp reading? (and some hot weather rambling)

I was curious if anyone knows (or has a temp gauge installed) the normal oil temp for a 88 9kt? I've been watching my vdo oil temp readings as of late - 200 degrees seems normal for me in moderate temps. In the city I was running just under 200 until yesterdays 95+ degree outside temp, where I hit 220 oil temp with a/c on and the water temp at high 10 o'clock in traffic. The curse of the old style water temp sender (exact reading) is the extreme flucuations of the needle in hot climates. 9 o'clock is noraml for me with no a/c on in moderate to semi-hot weather. In traffic, hot day, a/c on, I can hit 11 o'clock which concerned me in the past but every bit of coolant related hardware has been replaced on my car. What is a concern is bad boost during hot weather. I may install a larger radiator fan, or a larger front a/c fan to aleviate the hot intake temps. Nevertheless, what is the danger area of oil temps on the 9kt? And has anyone replaced their oil cooler with a larger one?
