I don't know what's in the Saab kit, but you could have some significant issues.
First, the mineral oil used with the r12 needs to be removed. At a minimum, this requires replacing the receiver/dryer and draining the compressor. It's also a good idea to flush the condensor and evaporator.
Second, you need to put the system under vacuum before you charge for 2 reasons. The number one reason is that air remaining in the system will combine with the remaining moisture, mix with the refrigerant and refrigerant oil, and ultimately form acids which eat your components from the inside. The other reason is that air is not combustible and will drive system pressures too high, reducing efficiency.
If you didn't replace the receiver/drier, it could also be big trouble if the dessicant used in the old receiver/drier was XH-5 or older. The r134a will eat this stuff and spread grit through out the system.
This may seem alarmist, but this is my (limited) understanding of this issue. The big issue for you would appear to be the receiver/drier. I don't know if there is someway to determine what dessicant is in there, but if you have the original one, then I would suggest that you get it changed immediately. Like today.
