225/50. 205/55 will work too if the car isn't lowered. I have 215/40 on 17 inch rims on my '88 that is lowered, with no rubbing, and it really isn't a downsize,,,,would be like 205/50R16 I think. It all depends on what wheels you have and what you are after. Better ride, better cornering, better off road capability? Just jokes for the latter, although on my old '90 Volvo16V Wagon I went with "rugged" style 185/70R15 for (almost) strictly dirt and rock roads,,,,so it may apply:-) Urban jungle?
