You should be able to go 205-55-16, as I successfully mounted three sets of different brands/types on my '91, and this is the stock size on my '95 Aero. Will these fit all 9K's? Perhaps some rubbing will take place with some cars, as has been reported here, but the Tire Rack claims that 215-50's can be mounted, and their recommendations are conservative. At least one person here mounted 225-50-16 or 225-55-16 on his 9K without trouble, but that would be a crap shoot that should be attempted only if you can return the tires if the fitment fails.
