Well, after a bunch of phone conversations and a lot of internet probing,
I think i figured out which grease to use:
The SAAB manual calls for BP Energrease FGL - which is only overseas.
Shell Alvania EP 00 is the US equivalent
I called Amsoil and cross referenced that to this product:
AMSIOL Semi-Fluid 00 Synthetic EP Grease (GSF)
which actually says steering gears in the applications.
However, it only comes in 35 gal. lugs...
Their tech support guy called me back and told me this other product will work well for my application, and he said he's familiar w/ old cars.
AMSOIL Synthetic Polymeric Truck, Chassis & Equipment Grease, NLGI #1
under 10bucks...cool by me!
