I didn't jumper the relay before testing the pump. Should I have? There was no pressure in the line when I disconnected it, so isn't that absolute proof the pump wasn't working? I purchased a 3 leg Craftsman oil filter wrench which does fit the ring.....but it doesn't budge it. Well it moves it a millimeter or two in either direction, and it's scoring up the edge of the ring because it tightens when it's turned.
I don't know why I can't budge this thing. I think someone might have used a sealer of some sort when the pump was installed the last time. It doesn't matter if I turn in clockwise or counter clockwise right? I just need to get the tab to line up with the slots in order to remove it....right? Thanks for you help. I'm in Pasadena if someone has the tool or a suggestion as to how I might get this thing off.
