Check plugs and wires. Verify that the pulg to the distributer for the hall effect is in good condition and there are no problems there, my 79 900t had a problem in that wiring which took months to figure out. Chekc the resistance of the distributer, the hall effect has a coil inside that can have problems, my 79 900t also had this requiring the distributer to be replaced. After you have checked those items I would move on to fuel, fuel and ingition problems have been troblesome to defferitiate between. My 76 99 EMS, I was positive it was an ignition problem, new distributer with pertornix igntion but the problem ended up being the warm up regulator with controls fuel pressure to the fuel distributer. Hope this helps.
