99 GLE to much rpms

My 1977 Saab 99 GLE used to make only 550 rpm in "P at idle after a cold start. Sometimes it had problems to start or it ran at 3 cylinders very shortly. With a warm engine the problem was over, but in it made 350 rpm more than in "N".
I adjusted the ignition points and now it runs 800 rpm in "P" when cold and 1400 rpm when warm. 1000 rpm in "N" when warm.
Can anybody tell how to adjust this idle run. What is normal in N and P? Should I adjust the timing of the ignition again?
Thanks, Thom
