A guy I know who used to rally a 99 (this was back in the '80s) met Stig Blomqvist and showed him his 99 rally car. He pointed out the hockey puck motor mounts and Stig said, "Yeah, that's what we used on the factory cars too."

The hockey pucks will fit the side mounts if you just drill a hole through them. Just use one bolt going through it instead of two pointing in opposite directions or a threaded rod (unless you were to tap the puck and thread the rod in...). The bolts on my cars go through from the bottom with the nut on the top. The hockey pucks are a little short so you'll have to take up the extra space with something (large rubber washer or rubber sheet or fender washers etc.)
