It's a pretty easy swap if it's the right manifold (1.8L v. 2.0L)
The D-Jet harness comes out cleanly, but you'll need to figure out a new Fuel Pump relay trigger.
I like to use a Facet fuel pump mounted in the stock pump location. You can also install an original-type mechanical pump in the stock location. I've done both.
Your Weber won't work. The stock set-up uses a Stromberg 175CD2 sidedraft.
No linkage to replace, the stock throttle cable should mount right to the new carb. NOS carbs come up on ebay from time to time.
I used to own a carbed 73 99 base model (same as X7, but w/ the 2.0 engine) and it regularly got 30 mpg. Would have done better w/ a later tranny...
