Okay... I went to look at the 99 turbo this morning. It is truly an outstanding example. Not only was the car nice, but Lewis and his wife couldn't have been nicer. Total no pressure. He is a true car guy who I feel I can trust. So here are the only 2 issues that I saw as a minor concern. He actually pointed the first one to me...
1) On start up about 50% of the time it only clicks... You just turn the key back to off and she fires right up. True to his word it did just that. He explained that he had the part that will fix that problem (I believe him).
2) The clutch pick up point seems high, but there is no slippage at all and no chatter. It pulls strong as well. Do 99's seem to have a high pickup point? Again, Lewis said that was normal and I have no reason do doubt his honesty, just looking for a second opinion.
I had to give myself a 24 hour cooling off period, because I know if I went there with the money my heart would have ruled over my head and I would have bought the car. Any help in this area would be so appreciated. i want to put this to bed before tomorrow.
