Tom, Doug's photo of that mount combined with a photo of your mount and block & tranny numbers (to confirm years), are what you will need. For '73-"74 there are a lot of different combos that will work, but some can be hard. From your comments, you don't have that style mount. It wouldn't work if you had the original tranny...you would have to lengthen the lower rear tranny bolt bracket about an inch to make the mounting hole by welding on an extension. I may have what you need. Email me with a photo and numbers and I'll try to help.I have, on a motor swap, forgot to fully tighten that side mount, and it did NOT do what your stating yours is. I'd look into tighening that front mount.If that is an old throw-out bearing, and they over adjusted it, you would get what your describing, plus the need for a new bearing. Spray some good lube in the bearing, and start it up. If it is quieter, you know what you need.
