Pete, You can start by ignoring that horsepower rating of 110. It isn't acurate. The 72-74 D-jets have more. The K-jets that followed were rated at 118 HP, yet aren't nearly as fast. Horsepower rating systems and calculation formulas have changed to sales gimmics through the years. The newest 16v turbo in all Saabs is rated around 245hp. Headers are ok, but a performace exhaust such as an Ansa one is just as good. Any valve work should include the later lifters with the added oil holes. You can get the most by simply tweeking your manifold pressure sensor. You can add a pertronix pointless ignition to that distributor, but it isn't neccessary.
