Well, it's done. I just bit the bullet and pulled out the old coil and the aftermarket stuf, stared at the car for a minute, and started from scratch. I hooked up my voltmeter to the +15 terminal on the back of the ignition switch and checked for continuity out to the coil. Voila! After that it was just a matter of following the Pertronix directions. The tricky part was getting to the ignition switch in the dash.
