Yes, I had the MSS exhaust, and I don't like it. It was on my 96. I also do not like the appearance of this exhaust as well... It is pitched downwards and that curvy tail at the end. It has a glasspack in the center. In my experience, the exhaust becomes louder over time, as the glasspack burns out relatively quickly. When my Y pipe rotted, I decided to have one custom built. They used the MSS Y pattern head pipe, yet according to my request, hugged the exhasut close to the body (looks better in my opinion. You hardly see the pipework. They installed a muffler where the original goes..with a nice small tail pipe under the bumper. After driving the car, I still thought it was a bit too noisy, and returned. They installed another muffler in the middle. All two inch pipe. As for performance, I feel no difference compared to the MSS.
When I get my 71 Sonett on the road, I will customized and exhaust as well. I hear the MSS Sonett exhaust is even louder as the glasspack is flattened. There is another muffler they sell to make it a bit quieter, yet I do hear of friends telling me that listening to the radio may be a bit...
Jim, I am not sure if this is for a racing application, If it is , then maybe the MSS is good. By the way, MSS is great for parts forthe engine. Jack is friendly!
Good luck
