Somehow my 96 was stuck in 3rd gear after someone else drove it home from a party for me. I finally got it to shift out of 3rd gear while driving around the neighborhood in 3rd only(never getting to 4th gear). I thought that something must be in a bind and just needed to pop free and hopefully things would be better. Well the next time I get in the car I take off and everthing is working UNTIL I got to 4th gear and now it is stuck in 4th gear.
Does this sound like the 3rd/4th synchronizer?
