I have a 73 V4 that I bought as a emergency "parts car". I've had it for several years and used very few parts. I start and run it regularly but rarely drive it. Recently I took it on the road and noted significantly increased whine in 3rd and 4th gear. I run Redline 75 wt. synthetic, as I do in my restored 96, whose tranny remains quiet. Does anyone have any thoughts on why the top two gears might are making more noise? Thanks.
