Hi Phil,
I put a 34ICH on my '68 96 and one on a '73 Sonett. I had a copy of Jack Ashcraft's Weber 34ICH installation manual. Seems like I ended up with two of them for some reason...
It's fairly straight-forward, but there are a couple of challenges. The first has to do with the fuel line. These carbs tend to have hot start problems- some people put in a phenolic spacer to help but the other area is where the fuel line comes in. The pipes on top of the thermostat matter! The second area is the vacuum lines from the distributor to the carb.
I'm afraid my digital camera is currently broken, but I think I can help you...
First, let's start with the pipes on top of the thermostat. I assume, given the year, that you have two. What do they look like?
