Assuming you can get a tach signal from somewhere, have a place to install an air mass meter, can install the Jetronic NTC/coolant temp sensor, and can modify the intake manifold to accept fuel injectors the Jetronic ECU would probably run the 1.7l engine just fine. That said, you'd probably have a better time running something that does not require an air mass meter and has a wider support for fine tuning. I'm thinking one the Dodge ECUs that everyone mods or MegaSquirt.
