"Not to take away from your adventures, but what about driving today with an ancient car with little tiny tail lights? and a serious lack of power compared to today's cars."
SOC09 at Copper Mountain, CO was where I drove my 1970 '96 (towing a small trailer) and returning with a 2nd 1970 '96. They both cruise at 65-70mph all day long with NO problems whatsoever! True, they don't have all the "creature comforts" one comes to see in the newer cars, but that too IS part of the fun of driving older cars! :-)
