Hi all,
I'm thinking of getting my '79 99L running again. It's been sitting for about six or seven years with a bad gas tank (leaves a nice stream)and a bad 3rd gear. Other than a new gas tank, what should I do before I try to fire it up to make sure I don't do any damage? How about a marine type gas tank? I don't plan on fixing the transmission right now or even put it on the road, I just want it for tooling around the "estate" and as a "golf cart".
It's odd, I know, but I loved this car (it was my first) and I hate to see it just sink into the ground.
Thanks
rehsper
