The New England Saab Association.....and 99's Posted by Daryle [Email] (#98) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Daryle) on Mon, 1 Apr 2002 16:22:54 In Reply to: New England 99 Club, Kevin, Thu, 21 Mar 2002 19:22:41 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
All,
Interesting chat for this post. While it's true, NESA does not have focus alot of effort on 99's, we don't pay particular favoritism to ANY model SAAB. All are welcome.
We have members who own just one SAAB and those who own multiple SAABs. We have members who also drive 99's......Chris Mills (Secretary for NESA) and Linnea - YEEHHAAHH on AOL - both have 99's and are club members (just to name a couple).
If we don't show support for your "favorite" model SAAB, that's because we are a club trying to be all things to all people.....no point in making others feel left out. We recently hosted an event to rebuild carburetors...and had a great turnout. Several folks, including myself, left after having a good, time, good food, and actually learned something....needless to say, the event was open to anyone who cared to show up. And many don't own any cars with carburetors!
Point is.....if you want to create your own club, go ahead. It's alot of work. If you, and anyone else wishes to join NESA or Saab Club of America....all the better. If it's 99 specific events you want, we can help you cover off on those too.....just don't be upset with me when I pull up in a '79 900 EMS.
