Got my head back! questions on rebuild...

Well, I got my head back from the machine shop, and I am currently working on the poor man's port and polish (rotary tool, grinding out burrs and then giving a smooth with the wire wheel). I am pretty excited about building up the engine tomorrow, and I thought I would ask for advice. Pretty nervous, this being my first. Anyway, opinions and pointers welcome. I was told by the guys at the machine shop to use the copper gasket spray for the head gasket since I have an old style set, and avoid the red loctite goo around the intake... Anybody have anything to say about that?
Another question: the guy at the shop said it was probably the last time the head could be resurfaced: there is hardly .015 left on the little resurface half moon indicators that are cast in. So how much does this affect my compression? I am speaking of a b-motor for a 99 turbo, if I havent mentioned... I know you dont want to go too high with the compression on a turbo, but are two or three head resurfacings enough to make a difference? Thanks for any tips!
Craig
