because for the obvious reasons it is non-ferrous and non-magnetic. It is quite possible to have a liquid penetrant test done to it, though. Clean the area to be inspected with a solvent based cleaner, spray on the penetrant and give it about ten minutes of dwell time, remove the excess with a lint free rag, spray some solvent on a rag and further clean off the excess penetrant, then spray on a developer, which is basically similar to talcum powder. The developer will draw out any penetrant from the crack, if there is one.
