I am on the original fuel pump at 141K miles. 94 900S V6. Regarding the fuel level, it is not the extra suction head pressure produced by keeping the fuel level higher (it is marginal pressure anyway)that assists in extending the life of the pump, rather it is the gasoline itself which acts as a lubricant that does it.
