you have 101K miles. You should have had the t-belt replaced under the saab warranty, for free, at the dealer, between about 92,500 and 97,500 miles. If so and it went south, there has to be something forthcoming from Saab, the new design is supposed to last 60K.
If you had a non-authorized person do it, I would imagine saab would disavow the whole mess unless you could show a defective part.
I had it done, and when I then had the camshaft seals replaced at about 103K, at the indy, he showed me that there was a bad bearing in the new pulley, so I had to replace it again.
Anders/Swedecar is the guru, when he speaks, people listen.
