I use a Liquivac topsider type system (hand pumped) to change the oil in both my 95' 900S and my wife's MB 300TE. You have to reach under the front of the 900s to get to the filter but it is not much trouble, raising the car is not required. You will need a pan under the filter as it will have a few ounces of oil in it that will drip (The MB is much easier as it is an easy R&R from the top and the filter is vertically oriented with a check valve that minimizes dripping).
By the way I have removed the drain plug on both the Saab & the MB after using the Liquivac and in both cases less than 5 drops have dripped out of the crank case. I am satified I am getting almost all the old oil out from the dipstick.
Change it hot & change it often.
