The rear pads are easy to remove. Inspect for siezed caliper pistons and/or pad backing plates rust bound in the caliper slots. The p-brakes do need PM to clean and lube, otherwise they can hangup and drag. Can also be rust bound cable. To deal with that, the caliper needs to be unbolted and moved, still on its hydraulic tubing, to allow removal of the rotor. That all might be out of scope for you. The p-brake and rear caliper designs are 40 years old and suck big time.
Did you try burning off the front rotors?
