It could be a bad CPS that has temperature effects. You can check that there is power at the fuel pump fuse while cranking. When the ECU sees from the CPS that the engine is been cranked over, it turns on a relay that energizes the fuses for the fuel pump and O2 sensor heater(s). So if you pull the fuel pump fuse, one leg will go to 12V when you crank if the CPS is working. And you can hot wire the pump to run from the other leg of that fuse.
