I never noticed cowl shake on the Viggen convertible, and I do drive it pretty aggresively. I have diven it as fast as 132 mph.
Part of the VFA experience was dinner w/ SAAB exec's, and they explained that the Viggen convertible has a fair amount of extra stiffening done to the chasis. I also put on the Abbott Viggen Rescue Kit which includes a chasis brace that may mitigate this even further.
I can't say if the roll-bar made the car "tighter" really, but I can say that my over-all set-up is much improved over stock 3-doors that I just drove at the VFA. Part of the VRK are much stiffer polyurathane bushings in the suspension (rather than the stock wobbly rubber GM ones) that make a huge difference.
Sorry, I know this isn't much help.
Kindest Regards,
Kevin
