Actually, in keeping with the general theme of the list, my point was that while the Cure are more broadly known, the Smiths are probably better and are definitely more worth listening to. I know which I find myself playing (on the CD player I mean, not the guitar; I have less musical talent in my whole body than Johnny Marr has in his old gym socks).
By the by, on a long, dark drive, nothing keeps up your alertness like using the night panel whilst singing along with Morrisey. I've noticed about a 73% increase in alertness personally. What's more, given Saab's outstanding crash-worthiness record, I'd wager there's no safer way to travel at night than in a 9-3 w/ Meat is Murder duct-taped into the CD player. I'm quite certain that someone with a fancy degree and a bit of get up n' go could make a fascinating transportation study from this data.
Perhaps more relevantly to this BB, my rendition of "Bigmouth Stikes Again" produces the only inane sounds in my 9-3; it seems remarkably well put together.
Cheers!
PS: leave my monkeys out of this!
