Emergency handling; bike racks

The other night, I spotted a coyote walking towards my car while I was going approx. 50 mph. Apparently, the coyote didn't know I was there and I surely would have hit it if I didn't move out of the way--fast.
The 9-3 responded to my quick right-left move beautifully, with very little drama. I was pleasantly surprised. The coyote went on its way and the Saab and I were just fine.
I don't know how well other cars would have done in this situation, but I suspect that most would not have responded as well as the 9-3.
Anyone else had to make an emergency move in their Saab?

If you need a bike carrier for your Saab, the Thule 599 XT works great. It attachs to, oddly enough, the Thule roof rack.
This carrier holds your bicycle upright, and you don't have to remove the front wheel. It will clamp around any diameter down-tube, so it works on road and mountain bikes.
I bought two of these carriers, and although they're kind of expensive at about $100 each, they're well worth it. Saab sells them for $110, so you may not want to buy them from your local Saab dealer. Performance Bikes discounts them to $90 and occasionally has them on sale for less than $80.
