In my previus 5 Saab, I had manual. They worked great. Then I fell on the ice in my driveway & wied out my sholder for 6 weeks and drove my wife's auto Aidi. It made getting around so much easier.
I'm healed now, but in choosing a newer Saab, I got the '99 SE with the auto. It is not by any means boring and the sport mode makes it al the more fun. Besides I was never a quick enough shifter to take anyone coming out of 2nd gear. Now I just cruise past. ;-)
