I spoke with my "counselor" at the dealership and he said that you can't keep the same profile tire when you go from 16" to 17's. You have to drop to a 45 profile. I've ridden with a friend who did this and I thought the car rode a little harder but not real bad. The brand of rubber on the car and inflation pressures will also factor.


While we're on the subject of Take-offs, I recommend that everybody in the market for OEM wheels try this place:

They had my 9-3SE 16" wheel for exactly half what the dealer wanted. The rim had 10 miles on it. Apparently, they keep a lot on hand and they're friendly too. Owner is a Sonnett guy. Located in Delaware and reasonable on shipping. I told them that they need to advertise on this site. Please do the same so others will support their great business.
