Leased a 99 9-3 SE HOT. It has become a love hate thing. First 3000 miles--loved it. Next 15K miles--hate it. Problems include: climate control failure (twice), multiple gague failure, numerous misc rattles (sunroof), wheels that squeak so badly (not while breaking,while rolling) people can hear me coming (could not fix twice), a constant, annoying wabble while accelerating at highway speeds (replaced CV joint and other parts and could not fix 4 separate times), 3 bent rims (never bent one on any car before). Recently, annoying squeak when I turn on fan, but only at settings 1-3. These are the problems off the top of my head. I'm certain there are more that I'm forgetting. A friend of mine's experience was just as bad (99 9-3 coupe). Among other things, his passenger seat failed repeatedly and actually slid forward during aggressive braking and his trunk closure failed.

When the car is right its great. When its not right it sucks. I leased mine because of the great deal. I would never buy one due to the sagging resale and numerous problems, without significant incentives (which they are now offering). You get what you pay for.
